After being sent in to bat, the Hurricanes lost two wickets in their first three overs but it was the Lizelle Lee show from that point onward. She belted 150 not out from 75 balls with 12 fours and 12 sixes, the highest individual score in WBBL history. Ebony Hoskin copped the brunt of that innings, conceding 53 runs from her four overs. Chasing 204 to win, the Scorchers lost two wickets in the first three balls and never recovered. They fell to 6/63, but some late hitting by Chloe Ainsworth (41 off 27) saved her side from a bigger defeat. They were ultimately bowled out for 131. Lauren Smith was fantastic, taking 2/11 from her four overs but no one could take Player of the Match away from Lizelle Lee today. Thanks for following this historic match.
