South Africa did well to take the game into the final over but even with a late mini-collapse, the GGXI were always in control of that run chase. Captain Sophie Molineux led from the front, scoring 59 from 41 balls with eleven boundaries, earning her the Player of the Match award. She was very well-supported by Tess Flintoff who scored 42 from 27 balls with six fours and one six. Tahlia Wilson (15 not out) stayed calm and finished the chase despite wickets falling around her. Masabata Klaas had the best return with the ball of 3/16 from 4 overs but ultimately 149 was not enough to defend. The T20Is begin on Saturday where the South Africans will hope for a better result.
