An oustanding dominant victory by Perth Scorchers sees them strengthen their position at the top of the table. The result makes it considerably harder for the Sydney Sixers to make the top four, but with three games to play, their season is certainly not over. Beth Mooney batted brilliantly to take the Scorchers to a total that always looked beyond reach for the Sixers. Ellyse Perry was the only Sixers batter to get going, but the innings quickly fell apart after she hit the ball straight to Piepa Cleary and was run out. The Scorchers bowlers were outstanding throughout but the Sixers will rue some poor running and shot selection.
