Four runs. FOUR! Sianna Ginger to Bess Heath. Back of a length, pulling, Hit Hard past deep square leg for 4 runs. It was a low-scoring contest to start England A's tour, but they're off to a promising start by defeating Australia A with 3 wickets to spare. After being sent in to bat first, Australia A's Tahlia Wilson was out LBW on the very first ball and things didn't get much better as they fell to 4/44. Penna (27) and McKenna (25) stabilised the innings before some late boundaries and aggressive running lifted them to 6/117. England A's innings also started slowly, but they were able to keep wickets in hand. They were behind the required run-rate until some rare no-balls from Amy Smith contributed to a 25-run 10th over. The visitors were able to rotate the strike from that point on and despite losing some late wickets, held their nerve to take the first game of the tour.
